Darren Hughes, local owner of Hughes General Store and Bait Shop has joined the Lake Nottely Improvement Association as a Corporate Sponsor.  Darren and his family operate the business at 765 Murphy Hwy/ 129 North which specializes in great food, handy amenities, and ethanol-free gas. 

Darren and business partner Josh Garrison also operate one of North Georgia's premier fishing guide services. Hughes says, "Lake Nottely Improvement Association's latest project, the 911 Emergency ID Dock Signs, has proven to be a success with many of the lake property owners who have purchased the signs.  We are constantly on the lake and see a real need for identifying waterside locations.  Because of these signs, the UC Sheriff's department and DNR Lake Patrol can more easily co-ordinate quick responses to emergencies."
