“Tour de Garage”

The state of the economy has led to an overwhelming 2-0 vote from Lynn Varian and Sue Boris, co-chairs of the 2009 LNIA Tour of Homes, to move the 2nd annual tour to 2011, and in 2010, replace it with the 1st annual LNIA GARAGE SALE (“Tour de Garage”).

While the success of the Tour was exceptional and several homeowners had already offered their homes for 2010, the twosome considered the current economic climate and decided to follow fellow board member, A.G. Sherman's suggestion, that LNIA's membership might be inclined to share their treasures to raise money for the less fortunate in the community.

On Saturday, May 22, LNIA will sponsor the 'Tour de Garage', featuring LNIA members who want to hold individual garage sales. LNIA will advertise the event, provide maps, and provide a tented area for those who would rather contribute items to a central location. Plans are still being formulated, so watch for more details to follow.
